About Cartridge Cave
WHO WE ARE
First and foremost, Cartridge Cave is a video game store with a mission to sell classic, retro, and some current generation games and consoles at the best prices. Reliving nostalgic moments can be tough in this era, so we have created a platform that transports you back to the golden age of video games. We procure the coolest and most unique games and hardware with the goal of sharing them with local communities at great prices. NES, SNES, Sega, N64, GameCube, Atari, PlayStation, Xbox, kiosks and more– we plan to carry it all!
Our mission goes beyond selling merchandise. In the spirit of the video game community’s love for collecting and exchanging gaming treasures, we buy from and trade with our customers with the goal of maximizing the cash and trade-in values of your items. You will always get more value when you trade-in for store credit instead of cash!
A small corner of our store is dedicated to coin-op arcade machines. We currently have Ms. Pac Man/Galaga and Mario Bros. machines with hopes to obtain an original Mortal Kombat 2 and more. We offer snacks for purchase such as chips and soda, so you can indulge the munchies while you game at our store!
MEET THE OWNER
My name is Nick (AKA "Nostalgic Nick") and I have been a gamer since I can remember. As a child, I grew up playing the Super Nintendo with some of the best games of all time, such as Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario World. Some of my favorite memories as a kid were playing video games, and as an adult, this still holds true. I am an engineer by trade, but in my free time I love to repair, modify, and tinker with old game consoles. A collector at heart, I have a vast personal collection of games and consoles from every generation. I try to play a new game every week, whether old or new, to recreate precious gaming memories and to learn more about games from different eras and genres.
COMMUNITY DRIVEN
In addition to being a video game store with a small cash-operated arcade section, we also want to give back to the community and offer *free stations within our store for customers to stop-in and play. These stations include a CRT television with one or more classic game consoles and access to our expansive library of video games. These stations are free to play, but we do ask customers to limit their playtime if we are busy and to share the opportunity to play with other customers. We also ask that you purchase a snack (or two) if you plan to sit-back and game at a station for a while. These stations will be available starting on our opening day; however, we may eventually incorporate a reservation system if they prove to be popular.
